Red Eye is the true final boss in Raiden Fighters 2: Operation Hell Dive, as well as the endboss of Simulation Level 50 in Raiden Fighters Jet.
In Raiden Fighters 2, Red Eye will appear if the player meets the following requirements such as a 100% Target Destroy Rate at the end of stages 3 and 6 without using a continue. If the requirements are not met, you won't face the boss, and your game will immediately end after defeating Rafflesia II.
Details
Red Eye appears as a large jet bomber. Right at the beginning it opens up its main gun on the center of its body, which spreads barrages of bullets in all directions. The boss is protected by two shielded appendages on the front which can be destroyed, and also has extra guns on the front and on its wings. Should all the guns be destroyed, or if Red Eye takes enough damage, in addition to using its main gun, it will also reveal two twin-barrel rapid fire cannons on the sides of its fuselage, which can rapidly fire bullets straight ahead. Its tail can also open up to dispense up to six balloon drones that block off the player's bullets. After its health reaches a critical point, Red Eye's side cannons will be destroyed, forcing it to use a desperation attack with its main gun until it is destroyed.
