The Howl Loreley (Fairy's Scream) is one of eight playable ships in Caladrius. This ship is piloted by Sophia Fulcanelli and is associated with the Element of Water.

Profile

The last ship created by Paracelsus. It slumbered in the bottom of the sea along with Sophia, the apprentice who sacrificed herself for its creation.

Merged with the powerful magician Sophia, the ship can emit a tremendous amount of ether.

Although Sophia's soul is embedded in this ship, she is partially linked to other ships as well. Thus, while her consciousness remains in Howl Loreley, she can support other ships refine ether.

Weaponry

Normal Shot: A wide linear shot that covers both sides of the ship.

Bomb: Launches a wave around the ship that destroys enemy bullets.

Element Shot:

• Attack ES: Water/Water Gatling - Rapid-fire shots that explode on contact with the enemy. Explosions remain on screen and also damage enemies. Leveling up increases firing speed and quantity.

• Support ES: Water/Mercuric Bind - Fires laser beams that home in and wrap around the enemy (like the Plasma Laser/Bend Plasma from Raiden). Leveling up increases the power and thickness.

• Defense ES: Water/Acid Reaction - Forms an absolute barrier around the ship, that can even destroy special bullets (including some of the late-game boss shots). The gauge is refilled as more bullets are destroyed. Leveling up increases the barrier's size.

• Element Burst: A whirlpool with water blades that destroys all enemies and enemy bullets, but doesn't follow the ship's movement.
